Mr. Cáceres is a Supply Chain Project Manager who joined Airbus OneWeb Satellites in Orlando, Florida in 2020. As an experienced supply chain management professional, he is responsible for ensuring the proper suppliers are selected, along with the cost, schedule, performance, and risk management of all supplier nonrecurring scope as well as on time delivery. Based in Merritt Island, Florida, Florida, Airbus OneWeb Satellites is pioneering the satellite constellation industry by designing and manufacturing large-scale, high performing satellites.
Before joining Airbus OneWeb Satellites, Mr. Cáceres found success as a Supply Chain Project Manager at Ascend Resources in Orlando, Florida and as a Subcontract Program Manager specialist and oversaw special projects assignment at GP Strategies Corporation for the NASA Mission Launcher 2. Additionally, he was employed by Lockheed Martin for more than 30 years, beginning as a manufacturing engineer of IBM Federal Systems Division between 1986 and 1998 and in subsequent roles as a senior system engineer, program manager, and subcontract program manager until 2019.
Throughout his career, Mr. Cáceres has been involved in several significant projects, including the Mentor-Protégé Program, the Naval Helo Program, and the Vehicle Blindado (Wheeled Armored Vehicle). He was also instrumental in implementing & manufacturing processing computers for military ships and submarines, Space Shuttle, fighter jets and several stealth fighters, military helicopters, satellites, and space explorer projects. Furthermore, Mr. Cáceres has secured several patents for Eurocard doubled-sided printed wiring board in his field. He is presently involved in a project for the deployment of the fleet of satellites to deliver affordable internet access globally. By the time this article is published, the fleet of 648 satellites will be launched into Low Earth Orbit enabling global internet service coverage by OneWeb's constellation.
An avid supporter of local initiatives, Mr. Cáceres founded the Southern Tier Latinos in 2010. He was a board member of the following organizations, Binghamton Philharmonic Inc, the American Civic Association, and Salsa Music Appreciation club. He founded and chaired the Hispanic Organization for Leadership and Awareness at Lockheed Martin in Owego, New York.
Mr. Cáceres graduated from the New Jersey Institute of Technology with a Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering in 1986. He subsequently received several certifications in his field, including national and international subcontract program manager and program management professional control account manager. Mr. Cáceres also became recognized as Green Belt Training Certified and Lean Six Sigma Certified.
Mr. Cáceres has been recognized with several awards from Lockheed Martin, including an MST Diversity and Inclusion Award, SRA Contract Award, and Team Excellent Award. He attributes his success to his dedication to the field and ensuring that he continuously contributes to making the U.S. a better country for the next generation.
