PONCA CITY, OK, April 22, 2023 - It's rare for an incoming college student to consider what role liability may play in a roadway accident. Students who are willing to take on the mental challenge may soon find themselves rewarded, though. As of 2023, BDIW Law intends to offer $2,500 to a student who submits an essay on the topic of car accident liability to the firm.
Specifically, the firm invites students to consider the question: how is liability determined in a car accident? The purpose of this question is twofold.
First, it encourages students to engage critically with the legal statutes in their state. When students better understand the nature of the law, they can more effectively place themselves within it while also putting themselves in the position to continue pursuing legal analysis later in their careers.
Second, encouraging students to consider how insurance providers and related parties assign liability after a car accident promotes roadway safety. Students who know that they might be financially responsible for someone else's roadway recovery may be less likely to engage in negligence while on the road.
Students interested in applying for the Car Accidents and Legal Procedure Scholarship should keep their essay on car accident liability between 500 and 1,000 words. Interested applicants should also submit the following documents to the BDIW Law website upon the completion of their application:
- An unofficial transcript indicating a 3.0 GPA or higher
- Proof of enrollment at an accredited United States college or university
- United States citizenship and/or right to work
Applicants can also refer to this scholarship's terms and conditions for more information. Applications for the Car Accidents and Legal Procedure Scholarship must reach BDIW Law by October 15, 2023. The firm will not consider any scholarship applications that arrive after the deadline.
BDIW Law looks forward to reading this year's batch of scholarship application essays. The team is excited to help creative, thoughtful students pursue their academic ambitions.
