PRINCETON, N.J. - May 6, 2021 - The Apereo Foundation today announced the release of openEQUELLA 2021.1, the latest version of the open source platform.
openEQUELLA, a digital repository for housing teaching/learning, research, media, and library content in one platform, is currently in use at a wide range of schools, universities, colleges, TAFEs, departments of education, government agencies, and corporations worldwide.
openEQUELLA 2021.1 continues the ongoing evolution of the platform's user interface, and finalises the application of Material UI components to the front and back end of the Search interface. Key enhancements to the new Search UI include the introduction of Gallery modes - users can now choose between a standard, image or video gallery mode.
Other highlights of openEQUELLA 2021.1 include:
Attachment counts: enabling users to easily see how many attachments are available for an item without having to open the attachment list.
Favourite items and search results: providing the ability to add and remove favourite items from the search results page and to save favourite searches from within the new Search UI.
Download search results to CSV: suitably privileged users can now download search results to a CSV file from the new Search UI page .
Version 2021.1 is available now. For more information about implementing or upgrading to openEQUELLA 2021.1, please navigate to openEQUELLA.github.io or contact a services provider in your region, including Edalex (Asia Pacific), Unicon (Americas), and Next Education Services (EMEA).
