LA CROSSE, Wis. - April 26, 2021 - Security Advisors Consulting Group is excited to announce that Robert Nordby MS, CPP will be taking on additional responsibility in his new role as Executive Vice President of Operations. In his new role Robert will lead both our Training Division and all operations within our Government Services vertical market. Robert has served with Security Advisors Consulting Group for nearly two years as the Senior Director of our Training Division, working with our clients to develop and deliver best in class training solutions for their Security personnel and Security Awareness and Active Shooter Prevention and Response Training for their employee populations. With his new role we are excited for his continued services in these areas and to see the service improvement he will bring to our state, local, and federal government clients, and the growth of our offerings to that sector.
Prior to his role with Security Advisors Consulting Group, Robert served in a variety of leadership roles in corporate security and federal, state, and local law enforcement. Serving as the Chief Security Officer (CSO) for Educational and Healthcare institutions, and in law enforcement leadership roles with the US Department of Defense, Bangor Police Department, and Wisconsin State Patrol. Additionally, he is an accomplished instructor having taught Bachelors degree level Criminal Justice courses, serving as the Program Chair for a Technical College's Law Enforcement Academy, acting as an instructor at the Wisconsin State Patrol Academy, and presenting on a number of security related topics at conferences including ASIS Global Security eXchange, Secure 360, and SHRM.
Robert holds a Master of Science in the Administration of Criminal Justice for the University of Phoenix and is Board Certified by ASIS International as a Certified Protection Professional (CPP) a designation recognized in the United States by the SAFETY Act that provides ASIS board-certified professionals, their employers, and their customers immediate protection from lawsuits involving ASIS certification and the ASIS certification process that arise out of an act of terrorism. Not only does it limit the types of liability claims that can be brought against a certificant, but it also entitles the certificant to immediate dismissal of those specific types of claims. Employers of ASIS certified practitioners also gain protection against terror-related liability claims that can include a presumption of dismissal from a lawsuit.
