MANHATTAN, N.Y. - April 22, 2021 - With plans for a 2020 world tour release scuttled by the coronavirus pandemic, Global Sedition has adopted a new strategy for the release of their debut album - adopting new and exciting technologies in keeping with the experimental nature of the group.
Described as a self-proclaimed 'experimental music collective' it's only fitting that the marketing and distribution strategy follows this trend.
Purple Sunset:
The debut album is slated for release on all hallows eve, 2021, blending perfectly with the slightly unhinged nature of some of the tracks. The album features 7 unique compositions, ranging from chillout vaporwave stylings to hardcore dance grunge.
Crypto-Distribution:
In order to raise capital for an eventual world tour, specifically targeting small underground clubs (mostly on their own dollar as a marketing drive) - Global Sedition is auctioning off high-kbp master mixdowns of their upcoming album as NFTs.
Successful bidders will receive:
One track from the album, well in advance of the end-of-year launch
Super high quality, master track (digital .wav file ~2000kbps)
Exclusive ownership of the only NFT ever minted of that specific track
NFT resell rights - horde as a treasured piece of memorabilia, or on-sell as a potential investment!
UNIQUE NFT TRACK
In addition to the NFT releases from the album, there will also be a 100% unique track auctioned only as an NFT. The track 'Distant Rain' will not feature on the release of Purple Sunset and will not feature on future albums until the 5 year anniversary release, or tenth studio album (whichever comes first) - making the NFT the only place to hear the original unwatermarked track in all it's glory. This 4:46 minute track is intended as a cool down after the full album and features soft guitar and a soothing glass piano.

Early Access Tickets:
Other customers are also able to jump on-board and receive early access to the master mixes by way of 'early access token'. These will be released one track per week leading up to official release (starting 7 weeks before October 31st).

Official Release
