ESSINGTON, Pa. - March 31, 2021 - TVS Sports Network is reviving the IWA Wrestling tv show it founded in 1976 wih a montly live event in Joppa, Maryland beginning in September. The series will introduce new wrestling characters and be targeted to the youth market. The series was restarted in 2017 at 'The Dome' in Bakersfield, but lost that venue when the historic wrestling palace was razed in 2018.
TVS founded IWA Wrestling in 1976 as the first nationally televised TV wrestling program. During that time, TVS enlisted the top stars of the day...Ernie Ladd, Bulldog Brower, Mil Mascaras, The Somoans, Cowboy Bob Ellis, Rip Hawk, Gio Brito & Dino Bravo, Tex McKenzie, Ox Baker, Thunderbolt Patterson, and others to create wrestling on TV on a nationwide basis.
TVS IWA Wrestling will appear on the TVS Sports Network.Com. Classic IWA Wrestling will appear on the TVS Classic Sports Network.Com. Both versions will appear on the TVS TeleSports Cable Network, which begins transmission in December 2021. Presently, IWA Wrestling is on the WatchYour.TV platform, powered by Tulix. Via apps from Amazon, ROKU, Google, Web TV, and Apple, it is available on all IPTV and Mobile devices as well as on Smart TVs in 85% of TV homes in the USA.
