ALLENTOWN, Pa. - March 29, 2021 - Local band, HATE MACHINE, from the Lehigh Valley has begun piecing together a multi-part series of interviews and behind-the-scenes documentary that bring hope and awareness for those suffering from Depression.
HATE MACHINE's front-man, Dave Kite provides more insight on this venture: "This project is a way to really use my music which helped me get through some very dark times in my life. I want to help others possibly going through some same or similar situations. Music is a healer, and there are a lot of hurting people out there who need something more than medication."
Internet Radio Host on Rock Rage Radio, Jamie Eisenhour, better known at NipNyce, has this to add:
"When Dave approached me to be part of his docu-series,I was more than excited! I have battled depression for years and was very fortunate to have great support from friends, family and my radio show along with music."
Adding to the mix is Reese Sweigart of Reese S Photography out of Lebanon, PA, who supplies the AV portion for the docu-series, states: "When Dave approached me about helping with this project, I was more than happy to say yes. As I am someone who is very familiar with Depression and anxiety, I could relate to his story and the lyrics of Hate Machine's music. For me, photography has helped me cope. I had an outlet available but, some people don't have the encouragement they need to find the things to help them. I hope this venture helps many others find their outlet, hobby, or music to help themselves."
Kite suffered a tremendous medical setback about 10 years ago which he details in the docu-series. During his rehabilitation he realized that music, specifically the music he created decades before, was to play a vital key in his healing. Knowing now the impact music has made in his life, Kite plans to share his experience and advocate to use music to help others.
