VANCOUVER, British Columbia - March 22, 2021 - CBC named Ashley Pater one of ten young musicians in Canada you must hear (2017). Ashley is a singer/songwriter from BC and has recently dropped her single
"Stuck On You". This latest effort from Ashley is a beautiful layer to her discography that is emotional and relatable.
From the beginning, we are hit with a simple set of piano chords. It takes a certain level of confidence for an artist to begin with such simplistic instrumentation because the focus immediately shifts to the vocals and lyricism. Her angelic voice has an explicit resonance. Ashley does not disappoint as she strikes us with the words we can all relate to. She provides some emotionally driven lyrics such as "Your no good for me" and I'm not right for you" The words continue to captivate you and the melody takes over your mind. As you continue to listen to the song, you would think that the lyrics "I'm Stuck on You" come from your own personal experience. Ashley adds a great amount of vulnerability into this song. She absolutely shines in an acoustic setting. She is one of those artists that does not need a lot of background noise to bring a song to life; her voice is what makes her music so enthralling. This song has all the qualities of a hit. "Stuck on You" was released March 22nd with worldwide air play with Blast FM.
Although the pandemic over the past year has slowed down Pater's ability to perform live, she has been using her time wisely to create music. She was a character on the Western Canada Tour in October 2020 with a reality TV tour called RiseUp TV. The television series is available on ROKU. She was a featured artist on Wish USA, FVMA Winner, Participated on a Virtual Tour with YouBloom, 3 of her songs are featured in the top 40 Galaxy Pop Charts in New Zealand, and she has been nominated in 7 categories for the Red Carpet Awards in Holland.
We are starting to see the light at the end of the pandemic tunnel. Ashley has plans to continue her character on the RiseUp Tour which is scheduled to hit the road in May . Ashley is planning to release a lyric video and an acoustic video to accompany the release of her new EP in May.
