The Humanize My Hoodie Movement Joins Forces With Major Retailer, Footaction

MINNEAPOLIS - March 19, 2021 - In 2020, the Humanize My Hoodie Movement (HMH) partnered with Foot Action to bring African-American culture focused sweatshirts to 100+ storefronts nationwide.

Since hitting shelves, HMH has sold out in Footaction stores nationwide and online with popular "Black History Year" line leading the charge. In total, HMH has created an ongoing series of hoodies exclusive to Footaction's Black History platform.

Midwest-grown brand Humanize My Hoodie brand was founded in September 2017, when college professor & co-founder Jason Sole decided to wear a hoodie to class every day to pay homage to teenager Trayvon Martin, who was fatally shot and killed while wearing a hoodie.

Immediately, Sole partnered with longtime friend and business partner André Wright to ignite a movement with one central purpose; for Black and Indigenous people across the world to be humanized.

Their exponential growth has inspired the dismantling of oppressive systems across the globe.

Humanize My Hoodie (HMH) is a movement that originated from a demand to end the killing of Black and Indigenous People across the world. Through a multitude of different designs dating back to ancient Greece and Rome, HMH has expanded its work over the past three years through multiple art exhibitions, ally workshops, a novel, and their most recent triumph: a runway show at New York Fashion Week.
