ST. LOUIS - March 12, 2021 - Young entrepreneur Maven Lee creates a new community organization for Queer and Trans people of color. That organization is the TQ FUND.

Unlike other organizations it was intentional to make sure that this one was queer and trans centered. And it was imperative that it was either queer or trans led.

Although it was inspired by a Cis Ally Leah Y. It was overwhelming cultivated by Queer advocate Maven Lee & Trans Activist Chyna Whyte.

TQ Fund focuses on emergency support, holistic care and artistic outlets. The organization supports the community by donations only but it's currently looking for grant funding.

Since it's creation in early 2020 the organization has supported at least 35 LGBTQ people of color mostly transwomen.

The organization has received around $5000 in donations and has directly disbursed it to the community.

Maven Lee Is currently in the process of making get a 501(c)(3) organization and looks forward to his continuous growth and potential collaboration with other community partners.
