JACKSON, Miss. - March 7, 2021 - A spokesperson for La'Nardo Myrick stated that three law firms have declined to represent him in his quest for removal of the book form stores. The spokesperson stated that each law firm responded the same after 4 months of consultation with Lanardo Myrick concerning the legal avenues to take. Each firm responded in the similar: Pursuant to my letter of 3/6/2021, we have conducted legal research and several investigations to determine whether or not we felt you had a claim that could be asserted against Richard Rubin and Atria Books. The results of our research/investigation indicate that there
is several enforceable legal basis for maintaining an action against Richard Rubin and Atria Books. Our opinion is based upon our preliminary research, however, we
have found that the statue of limitations may cause a hinderance in these types of cases and our declination is based on that time factor.
The spokesperson stated that La'Nardo Myrick has not given up hope that justice will be served. He asked that the firms' name not be disclosed.
