Old Dillard Foundation Seeking 100 Voices

FORT LAUDERDALE, Fla. - Feb. 20, 2021 - 2020 brought about some hard times and the uncertainty of what tomorrow would bring. Lives were lost, businesses closed and not knowing where turn to for help in moments like these. The question was asked, "where do we go from here?"

The Old Dillard Foundation a non profit organization realized that all communities large and small needed healing and resolved to develop a community chorus that would sing songs of healing for all. So this month they are launching an open call to anyone with vocal talent to come and share their gifts.

The Old Dillard Foundation is seeking 100 voices and is inviting you to be a part of Healing Our Community through the Arts Project. You must be at least 17 years old and a Florida Resident.

The Old Dillard Foundation's Voices United South Florida is a multi-ethnic multicultural chorus that reflects the rich diversity of South Florida. The chorus will perform music from the following genres Jazz, Latin, Blues, Gospel, R&B and Hip Hop.

Auditions will take place in 2 phases. Phase one is to upload a 2-minute voice clip to www.olddillardfoundation.org/audition (http://www.olddillardfoundation.org/audition?fbclid=IwAR3...) by Friday, February 28th.

Those selected will be invited to a live audition in Phase 2. Weekly rehearsals will begin in early March. The chorus debut is planned for June 2021 and will be filmed and aired as a made for Television Docuseries.
