LOS ANGELES - Feb. 7, 2021 - Catt Christine is incredibly pleased to announce her new single "Let's Begin" that can be heard everywhere via all major streaming platforms on Feb. 12th.
Catt Christine is a powerhouse Rock and Roll front woman who began her singing career in musical theatre. She moved to LA in 2010 to write and perform her own original songs. She has since started her own band Catt n The Haunted Blues, fronted the O.C. based cover band, Mojo Sonic, and most recently fronts and collaborates with the LA Blues/Rock band, The Freedom Ledges. She is currently writing with a new group of musicians to release new content soon and this single, Let's Begin, penned by LA Funk/Soul Artist & Multi-Global Music Awards winner Cliff Beach is her first solo release on California Soul Music Record Label.
Regarding the decision to create "Let's Begin", Christine shares "I was excited to work on this song because it's a style of music I love but don't get to do often. I had so much fun bringing my personal flare to this tune, assembled by great musicians and friends." Beach also adds that "This song fits Catt's distinctive Blues Rock style, and my soul music sensibilities. I wanted to craft a song that was an updated version of "Mrs. Robinson" mixed with "Hot for Teacher" where the student becomes the teacher. Catt brings that "Black Velvet" vocal style to it, that really drives the message home."

The track is produced by Angeleno transplant bassist Alex Romero (BIG JOE HURT, GR3), who states "Working on this song was special since, due to the pandemic, we had to resort to remote recording in order to finish it. In the end it's a great feeling to be able to release music despite the challenges of our current times." It also features Luis Nariño (Noble Creatures) on guitar and Brandon Petersen (Babylon Saints, Tina Vonn) on drums.
