MONROE, N.C. - Jan. 27, 2021 - To meet demand for quality housing as the Charlotte population explodes, a team of developers recently broke ground on a luxury apartment complex in one of the city's fastest growing suburbs.
The development team broke ground Saturday, January 23 on Arka Heights Luxury Apartments, a 210-unit luxury apartments complex coming soon to 4610 Old Charlotte Highway in Monroe.
Arka Heights will be developed on an 11-acre site and will include six buildings and a 7,500 square foot clubhouse. The complex's 210 units will include nine studio apartments, 60 one-bedroom units, 135 two-bedroom units, and six three-bedroom units, with options for ADA compatible apartments.
Every unit will feature Luxury Vinyl Plank (LVP) flooring, an upgraded gourmet kitchen with 42" cabinets, granite countertops, and stainless steel appliances. The complex's amenities include the clubhouse along with a swimming pool as well as a picnic area, children's playground, dog park, and parking garages equipped with electric vehicle (EV) chargers.
Arka Heights offers future tenants close proximity to the Sun Valley Commons shopping center in nearby Indian Trail as well as nearby Publix and Harris Teeter supermarkets and Sun Valley high school and middle schools. Charlotte is easily accessible via Independence Boulevard, a major thoroughfare between the Queen City and Monroe.
The Arka Heights development is being managed through a partnership between real estate developer Ram Kalagara, president of Ram Realty, and KP Maganti, president of commercial real estate investment firm Savs Group. According to Kalagara, the project's success has hinged on the collaboration of several local firms and agencies.
"This ambitious project could not have come together without the help of the NC Department of Transportation, Union County planning department, and City of Monroe building department," Kalagara said. "We thank them for their incredible support during the planning and permitting phases."
The Arka Heights project is being financed by South State Bank (southstatebank.com). Bohler Engineering (bohlerengineering.com) managed the civil engineering, with the architecture handled by Progress Design Studio (progressdesignstudio.com). The project's general contractor is Progress Carolinas (progresscarolina.com).
Arka Heights is slated for completion and expected to be ready for leasing by January of 2022. Learn more at https://www.arkaheights.com. Follow the project on Facebook at https://www.facebook.com/arkaheights.
