LONDON - Jan. 27, 2021 - NIST2 Sensor
NIST2 temperature sensors feature an internal calibration integrity check. 2x NIST(National Institute of Standards) traceable, calibrated temperature sensors operate as a pair. Values are compared and if the difference is greater than the stated tolerance an alarm is raised warning that the sensor is out of calibration. The two readings are averaged for greater accuracy.
NIST3 Sensor
In addition to the calibration check feature of the NIST2 sensors, NIST3 has failover capability. Equipped with 3x NIST traceable, calibrated temperature sensors operating as 3 pairs. The values are averaged for improved accuracy. Should a sensor be diagnosed as out of calibration its value will be ignored and the remaining pair will continue to function. NIST3 sensors with failover are suitable for critical monitoring in the cold chain.
Both NIST2 and NIST3 sensors are suitable for temperature range from -40°C to +75°C (-40°F to +167°F) with a measurement accuracy of ±0.2°C from 0ºC to +75ºC (±0.4°F from 32ºF to +167ºF) They are available in wired or wireless versions and with optional Glycol Jar buffer to protect against rapid fluctuations in air temperature.
Ultra Cold Temperature Sensor
This sensor is suitable for monitoring a wider range of temperatures from -200°C to +150°C (-328°F to 302°F). Used for ultra-cold shipments, such as the mRNA based COVID-19 vaccines from Pfizer and Moderna. The Ultra Cold Temperature Sensor is based is an RTD type sensor (Resistance Temperature Detector) made from Platinum. As temperature changes so does the resistance of the metal. This is precisely measured to give a temperature reading. The accuracy of the sensor is ±0.2°C (±0.4°F).
J and K Type Thermocouple
J Type thermocouple sensors suitable for a range between -40°C to +750°C (-40°F to +1382°F). K type thermocouples for a range between -200°C to +900°C (-330°F to +1650°F). A probe length of 610mm (24") and a maximum cable length of 100ft. Thermocouples have an accuracy of ±5°C (±9°F).
