LORAIN, Ohio - Jan. 12, 2021 - Black Diamond client, Gabreil Larsosa, inked a new contract with the West Texas Buccaneers in El Paso, TX. The Buccaneers are part of the American Arena League (AAL) and will begin their season in March, Covid permitting. Larsosa will be traveling all the way from Lorain, Ohio, to start his dream of playing football professionally.
Gabreil Larsosa started his football career by playing in college for the Malone University Pioneers. Larsosa continued to follow his dream with a transfer to The University of Akron. As his college career came to a close, he strived to train and become a better player while waiting for the call from the West Texas Buccaneers.
"First off, I want to thank God, because without Him, none of this would be possible," said Larsosa. "I could not be more excited to play football at the next level. I have always dreamed of playing professionally ever since I was little. I want to say thank you to my family and Black Diamond for being my support system through all of this. I am ready for my new journey in El Paso. Go Buccs!"
Despite the struggles of Covid-19, the Buccaneers have managed to continue tryouts and recruit many talented players. Larsosa will join the team when camp starts in February and will put it all out on the field when their first game comes in March.
