EL PASO, Texas - Dec. 21, 2020 - Black Diamond PR & Sport Management Firm, one of the top 10 independently owned Sport Management Firms in the U.S., is pleased to announce the addition of the West Texas Buccaneers to it's growing roster of professional teams as a result of the acquisition of the American Arena League and it's independent teams.
"We are extremely thrilled to announce that we are working with the West Texas Buccaneers," said Brandy Runyan, CEO of Black Diamond PR & Sport Management Firm. "As they begin their very first season, Black Diamond will build their brand and team to help make sure they see success both on and off the field. We will deliver full-scale Sport PR & management services to the Buccaneers, as well as facilitate sponsorship procurement efforts on their behalf."
The West Texas Buccaneers, located El Paso, TX, are a brand new expansion football team joining the American Arena League (AAL) for the 2021 season. The only time El Paso has had a professional football team was in 2009 and were known as the Generals. The Generals advanced to the conference championship game, but folded shortly after. The Buccaneers are owned by local El Pasoan, Craig Thomas, who plans to build the team and brand to last for many years to come.
"We're really excited to bring arena football back to El Paso and to be part of the AAL," says owner, Craig Thomas. "We are looking forward to our first season in March, and are looking forward to working with the entire Black Diamond team."
The Buccaneers are currently working on finalizing their roster for the season, and will be looking forward to kicking off their inaugural season this spring.
