WASHINGTON - Dec. 18, 2020 - The US High Speed Rail Association is pleased to announce that Alstom has joined the Association to continue supporting High Speed Rail in America. US President-Elect Joe Biden has promised to expand America's rail network to make it the "cleanest, safest, and fastest rail system in the world."

Alstom is currently building Amtrak's recent order for 28 new high speed train sets for use on its flagship Acela Express service along the Northeast Corridor. The first 2 of the trains are currently being tested while trains continue coming off Alstom's assembly lines.
