SAN FRANCISCO - Dec. 16, 2020 - FUSE LITERARY, the literary agency that brings technology and innovation to the more traditional aspects of book publishing, today announced the promotion of Michelle Richter from Agent to Senior Agent at the firm.
"Michelle's tenure as a Big Five editor prior to joining the agency has informed all aspects of her job as an agent. We are so pleased with the successes she's earned for her clients' work," said Fuse co-founder and partner Laurie McLean, who formed Fuse Literary seven years ago with her business partner Gordon Warnock.

Michelle Richter specializes in crime fiction, women's book club fiction, and romance for adults along with select young adult mystery and contemporary titles. In the last two years alone, her clients have won or been nominated for several major awards, including the Agatha, Anthony, Lefty, Macavity, ITW Thriller, and Mary Higgins Clark awards.
Michelle joined Fuse Literary in 2014 after working as an acquisitions editor for St. Martin's Press, where she worked on a variety of fiction and nonfiction titles. She was promoted to Agent at Fuse in 2018. She has a Master's degree in Publishing from Pace University, where she serves as an adjunct lecturer.
