BEAUMONT, Texas - Dec. 12, 2020 - Press Release:

Reaud Foundation to Give Away 1,000 Meals, 1,000 Bicycles, Other Gifts to Children & Their Families

A tradition of helping those less fortunate in the community continues as the Reaud Foundation, Inc. readies for another season of giving; this year providing a new winter coat, tennis shoes, wind suits, backpack, clothing, football, basketball, soccer ball, candy canes, a new Mongoose Bicycle and a children's Bible to 1,000 underprivileged children from Southeast Texas.

WHEN:

Beginning at 9 a.m. – Saturday, December 12, 2020

WHERE:

Ford Park Arena – 5115 Interstate 10 Access Rd, Beaumont, TX 77705

Because of the worldwide pandemic brought on by COVID-19, the usual celebration that accompanied the giving had to be canceled. In its place, the Reaud Foundation donated 1,000 frozen turkeys and 1,000 boxes of found to each family selected for the giving program in 2020.

"I realize there are families out there who may go without a meal this Christmas and I knew there was something I could about it, at least, the families of the children who would normally be at our annual celebration of Christ," said Wayne A. Reaud, a Beaumont, Tx. attorney and founder of the Reaud Foundation. "I hope that others will hear about this and help those who are less fortunate in their own communities because we still live in the greatest nation on Earth and when times get hard, we pull together."

WHAT:

The Reaud Foundation has created a "drive-thru" distribution line to help ease the giving effort and effectively follow physical distancing guidelines to protect against the spread of COVID-19. After weeks of planning and preparation, the children and their families will pass through covered checkpoints receiving their gifts and as they near the exit, they will be provided with everything they need for a traditional Christmas dinner.
