December 07, 2020 - Tumblehome Inc and the LeRoy Collins County Public Library today announced their 12/10/020 Tumbleocity session: ZOOM for Aspiring Secret Agents: Encrypting & Deciphering Secret Codes. These FREE, fun, fact filled 45 minutes are created for kids 9+. Arya Okten and Giray Okten will be their guide and will introduce them to the fun in mathematical conundrums. They will explore secret codes: how to create them and decipher them using the Caesar code.
They will discuss:
- Where it all began and why?
- How secret codes work?
- How to both encrypt and decipher codes?
This father/daughter duo are committed to making learning about advanced mathematical concepts fun, engaging and educational. They have spent years co-teaching kids advanced math concepts and have transferred all of that knowledge into their just released book The Mathematical Investigations of Arya and Dr. O. Operations? Prime Numbers? Secret Codes? Arya and Giray cover it all with humor and great illustrations while they solve lots of mathematical challenges.
This session is part of Arya and Giray’s new book - The Mathematical Investigations of Arya and Dr. O. Their presentation will be interactive with participation/questions encouraged throughout. Come help Arya and Giray break the code and spread the word that math is fun.
