BOULDER, Colo. - Oct. 30, 2020 - Colorado Cleantech Industries Association (CCIA) has announced the 12 technology companies selected to present at the first virtual Oil & Gas Cleantech Challenge (OGCC). Finalists were selected from an international pool of applicants.
CCIA developed the Oil & Gas Cleantech Challenge in 2014 to meet a need to connect clean and innovative technologies to industry. This year, the technologies being presented to industry stand out as particularly strong and diverse, and include hydrogen, artificial intelligence (AI), Internet of Things (IoT), software, an emissions reduction tool and others.
The 2020 call for applications asked for companies capable of working on issues related to air (especially methane detection or control), carbon capture utilization and storage, unmanned aerial vehicles, the internet of things/digital oilfield, items to reduce truck traffic, space saving items to reduce footprint, plant or biological solutions, solid pollution reduction, gas-to-liquids, blockchains, water, remote/distributed power, power management, and advanced materials and chemicals.
64 submissions were reviewed, applicants vetted and program partners selected 12 companies to present during the virtual program. Finalists will pitch their technologies to major oil and gas companies and investors represented by the program partners.
