ORLANDO, Fla. - Oct. 29, 2020 - iMG Recordings distributed by Universal presented the single release party, "God's Got Me" by Inspirational Artist, J-Rob on October 21, 2020 from 5pm EST – 3:30am at the mansion of Joker (G-Unit) in Florida. This was an invite-only guest event hosted by Celebrities, such as Joker (G-Unit), J. Long The Entertainer (Pretty Ricky), BO$$ Money, and Rick Robinson bka Double R from Bone Thugs-N-Harmony.
There were celebrity guest appearances, such as Ghostface Killa, JerrydoMeafavor (Qing Litquor) and more. The music was by DJ BO$$ Money, and other event hosts, the Qing Models, Ms. Lady Enchantres, Jasmine L. and Lu'Vee Smith Thomas. The release party had a VIP Lounge with food & drinks, a pool, and 10 artists performed 2 songs each.
The debut single, "God's Got Me" by J-Rob is off his forthcoming first album, "Blessed." At his release party Rick Robinson, J-Rob's Manager, presented J-Rob with a silver frame certificate of recognition award for completing his first album signed under iMG Recordings in the Soul Food division and will be distributed by Universal. "Blessed" by J-Rob has an official release date of February 15, 2021.
"I would like to honor him for all his hard work. I've seen J-Rob work with numbers and build it to something just from having the information. Him doing his party release was like gold in his hands because to not have nothing and then to have something to me that means a lot," said Rick Robinson, Owner of iMG Recordings.
"God's Got Me" by J-Rob release party was in celebration of his father's passing. This was a special and very touching event in honor of his father who believed in him and supported his music career. His live performances at his release party were heartfelt, not only to him, but the audience, as well as captivating to those who watched the live videos online. J-Rob performed three debut songs from his forthcoming album, "Blessed," "It's Gonna Be Okay," "Step Back, and "God's Got Me."
James Robert Wexler, later known as J-Rob was born in Silver City, North Carolina and raised in Brooklyn, New York where he resided for 7 years. At the tender age of 10, J-Rob was shot in the back of his head while walking to school. Later in life as an adult, J-Rob wanted to commit suicide on three different occasions over a span of three days after hit with life curveballs in a downward spiral throughout the past few years. J-Rob shares his battles in his new single, "God's Got Me" and wants others to know they are not facing their pain alone.
