WASHINGTON - Oct. 20, 2020 - The US High Speed Rail Association is proud to host the tenth webinar in its successful Professional Webinar Series: High Speed Rail Around the World on Friday October 23, 2020, 11:30am PDT/2:30pm EDT.
In this webinar, you will meet five of the top high speed rail experts in the world who will discuss the history and success of high speed rail in France, Italy, Germany, Spain, England, Japan, China, and other nations. Presenters will discuss the opportunities high speed rail opens for employment and living options, and how these systems unlock vast areas of affordable housing. They will also discuss the jobs and economic development opportunities high speed rail brings to a nation and how this technology meets climate requirements for greening transportation – currently the top contributor to climate change in America.
Presenters include:
Francois Davenne is the Director General of the International Union of Railways (UIC), Paris, France. He has an interdisciplinary approach to his work, coming from a finance and legal background, which creates success in his work.
Marc Guigon is Passenger Director at the International Union of Railways (UIC), Paris, France. He is also the Coordinator for UIC Latin American region and chair of the UIC-Covid-19 Taskforce.
Dr. Anthony Perl is Professor of Urban Studies and Political Science at Simon Fraser University in Vancouver, British Columbia. His research explores policy decisions about transportation, cities and environment.
Dr. Andrea Giuricin is CEO of TRA Consulting, a strategic consulting company in the transportation sector, based in Barcelona, Spain. TRA Consulting works with top level management of international organizations in Europe, the Middle East and Asia.
Enrico Trapazzo is President & CEO of FS Italian Railways USA, Inc. (FS USA) which was established in May 2019 as a joint stock company whose line of business is the management and development of transportation in North America. Enrico has a legal background and international experience in rail projects. He has three decades of experience at FS as a strategist to create effective technical solutions for project success.
