Nokomis' ADEC System Selected to Support US Army Cryptography

PITTSBURGH - Oct. 3, 2020 - The US Army has competitively selected Nokomis' Advanced Diagnostics of Electronics Components (ADEC) system, the world's most sensitive RF emissions detector, to provide defense against the decryption of cipher keys. Adversaries exploit Radio Frequency (RF) emissions from Army radios to decrypt cipher keys using Side Channel Attacks (SCA), augmented by Deep Neural Networks (DNN) and other evolving techniques. ADEC-based cryptographic DNN algorithms mitigate those threats.

The Nokomis ADEC system provides unrivaled sensitivity, high throughput and state-of-the-art embedded computational assets in a small package to provide real-time RF emissions signature analysis. The US Navy, US Air Force, Missile Defense Agency (MDA), Defense Microelectronics Activity (DMEA) and the US Army have all contracted Nokomis for derivative ADEC capabilities.

"The ADEC system has found widespread use in defending our nation's defense systems against malicious attacks on electronic systems. This ADEC software enhancement provides the Army with an advanced technology to mitigate the decryption of cipher keys that can put our troops at risk on the battlefield. Nokomis is honored to have been selected to support this important mission.", noted Walter J. Keller, Chief Executive Officer of Nokomis.
