Local Author to Discuss New Mystery Novel

SHERMAN, Conn. - Sept. 27, 2020 - Andrea O'Connor, former Sherman First Selectman, will be discussing her new mystery novel, Woodson Falls: 16 Lakeview Terrace, on Sunday, October 4th at 5:00 PM. The event is a remote program hosted by The Sherman Library. To register for the event, contact ablake@biblio.org.

Woodson Falls: 16 Lakeview Terrace is the first in a planned series of mysteries featuring Attorney Gaby Quinn. Based on her own experiences as an attorney and set in a fictional town loosely based on Sherman, O'Connor began writing the book with her husband John, whose Parkinson's disease had advanced too far for him to engage in his usual active life style. John's flair for pushing fact into fiction through plotting and characterization fueled Andrea's writing. John passed away before the book could be completed and its publication is a tribute to him.

The series begins when an unusual probate case crosses Attorney Gaby Quinn's desk. The more she digs, the more questions she seems to have. Tasked with finding a lost body, an abandoned truck, and answers to a mountain of questions, she soon discovers, even small towns hold big secrets.

Woodson Falls: 16 Lakeview Terrace is available from your favorite book retailer in either paperback or ebook format, as well as from the publisher, Emerald Lake Books (https://emeraldlakebooks.com/woodson).
