Physician: Eating Fewer Times Per Day Can Improve Your Blood Sugar Control

FORT WAYNE, Ind. - Sept. 20, 2020 - Controlling your blood sugar may be as simple as changing when you eat. That's the verdict of clinician and researcher, Eddie Ramirez, MD, Executive Director of AWHN in Pennsylvania.

Making his case in a recently-released 10-minute YouTube video, Dr. Ramirez shares research indicating that eating fewer times per day--and eating your meals earlier--can provide profound benefits when it comes to controlling not only blood sugar, but blood pressure as well.

Dr. Ramirez's insights were part of a longer made-for-radio interview that is slated to be released on the nationally syndicated radio show, "American Indian and Alaska Native Living." That broad-ranging dialogue, hosted by David DeRose, MD, MPH, included details about "iThrive," a recent virtual event hosted by Ramirez's AWNH team. The iThrive conference brought together some of the world's leading lifestyle medicine researchers who featured cutting-edge material on how to improve one's health without having to resort to costly medications or surgeries.
