PATCHOGUE, N.Y. - Sept. 16, 2020 - Rise and Grind Patchogue visitors and residents had previously been visiting the Country Kitchen for diner favorites for more than 80 years. Owners Philip Shum, Anthony Santiago, and Chef Stephen Claussell have now completely revamped and rebranded the old luncheonette with modern styling and gourmet breakfast fare complemented by a full coffee and tea bar. Visitors enjoy the same welcoming ambiance, albeit updated, along with chef-crafted recipes of breakfast favorites. As Patchogue's newest breakfast hotspot, Rise & Grind brims with the tastes and friendly service that diners love.
Classic Breakfast Fare
Chef Claussell has created an expansive menu filled with classic breakfast favorites such as omelets, skillets, and pancakes. Still, he transforms ordinary offerings into something quite remarkable with the addition of delectable ingredients and add-ins like Georgia peaches, Cotija cheese, caramelized onions, or BBQ pulled pork. The staff understands that many breakfast diners are on a tight schedule, so they have transformed breakfast prep into an efficient morning routine.
Popular breakfast menu items include the hot fajita skillet with marinated steak, peppers, and eggs served on a bed of home fries; Omelets served with three eggs, ham, and Gruyere cheese; and Savannah banana pancakes, which feature banana slices and peanut butter sauce. Other delicious options include strawberries and cream French toast, country waffles, and homestyle corned beef hash.
Locally Roasted Organic Coffee
Rise & Grind also features a specialty coffee bar that serves everything from a classic cup of black coffee to 'rainbow cookie lattes' that feature a blend of almond, mocha, and raspberry flavors. Order frappes, mochas, espresso, or cold brew to start your day. The coffee bar also features tea and tea drinks. Customers can order specialty coffees to accompany their meals or take them to go.
