ATLANTA - Sept. 5, 2020 - CEOs Twanita Dozier (Boss Up Magazine) and Kimberly Lawson (Lawson Learning Academy, LLC) joined together to found The National Black Media and Press Association (NBMAPA). The NBMAPA's is founded upon the mission of providing equity and equality in media representation for black media personalities worldwide. Entrepreneur and Media Personality Dozier will serve at the CEO of NBMAPA, while Lawson, International Best-Selling Author, Media Personality, and Entrepreneur, will serve as COO of NBMAPA.
The inaugural launch will take place virtually via Facebook Live on The National Black Media and Press Association's page. https://www.facebook.com/thenbmapa
During the launch, Dozier and Lawson plan to announce the First Annual National Black Media and Press Association Awards. Submission for nominations can be made online starting Saturday, September 5, 2020, through November 5, 2020. The finalist for the awards will be announced during the virtual summit Sunday, January 31, 2021. The awards ceremony will take place in Atlanta, GA in March 2021.
