SOUTHBURY, Conn. - Aug. 31, 2020 - Nostalgia meets retro on Friday, September 25, 2020 at the CLASSIC CAR & DRIVE-IN MOVIE NIGHT hosted at Quassy Amusement & Waterpark, 2132 Middlebury Rd, Middlebury, CT 06762.
The vintage auto corral and pop-up Drive-in event are sure to draw a big audience of car enthusiasts and movie fans alike. Attendees are encouraged to arrive in their classic cars and hotrods, but vintage wheels are not necessary, just an appetite for automobiles and great entertainment.
Gates open at 5 PM, offering those attending plenty of time enjoy the sights, refreshments, and live entertainment. The evening's feature film, Ford v Ferrari will start at 7 PM.
The 2019 Blockbuster film, directed by James Mangold, is based on the remarkable true story of American automotive designer Carroll Shelby (Matt Damon) and fearless British race car driver Ken Miles (Christian Bale), and their battle with corporate interference, the laws of physics and their own personal demons to build a revolutionary vehicle for the Ford Motor Co. Together, they plan to compete against the race cars of Enzo Ferrari at the 24 Hours of Le Mans in France in 1966.
