EPIC-X enters agreement with Hyland Healthcare to resell and implement Hyland’s PACSgear connectivity product suite.
EPIC-X, one of the fastest-growing suppliers of medical imaging products and solutions in Australia, has partnered with Hyland Healthcare, a global provider of content services and enterprise imaging solutions, to implement Hyland’s suite of PACSgear connectivity solutions throughout the region.
PACSgear is a suite of image acquisition and connectivity tools that allows healthcare providers to integrate images, film, media and documents from a variety of specialties throughout a healthcare facility with a central picture archiving and communications system (PACS), vendor neutral archive (VNA) or electronic medical record (EMR). Connecting all of this disparate imaging information with an enterprise system helps complete the patient imaging record while enhancing clinical workflows and information access.
EPIC-X will leverage several products from Hyland’s PACSgear suite including PACS Scan Mobile, an application that securely captures images and video on mobile devices and links it to a PACS or VNA; PACS Scan Web, a thin-client interface that enables the capture and routing of medical images, video and clinical documents to a PACS or VNA; and Video Touch 4K, a device that facilitates the direct capture and integration of images and video from visible light modalities such as surgical scopes.
“I believe strongly that the PACSgear solutions from Hyland will make tremendous impact in customer workflow due to the simplicity and ease of use. We see continued success and growth of the Hyland portfolio contributing to our growth strategy,” says Prakash Subbarao, Director at EPIC-X.
“By combining the knowledgeable team at EPIC-X with Hyland Healthcare’s unmatched portfolio of enterprise imaging solutions, we can help Australian healthcare organisations more easily capture, manage, view and share all imaging-related content while providing data security, reducing costs and improving the quality of patient care,” says Peter Weston, Hyland’s manager of healthcare sales in the Asia Pacific region.
