DORAL, Fla. - Aug. 21, 2020 - Emmanuel "Manny" Sarmiento, President/CEO of the Doral Chamber of Commerce and a long-time resident of the City of Doral has announced his candidacy for Mayor of Doral, FL. The election is November 3rd, 2020.
Manny co-founded the Doral Chamber of Commerce in 2008, promoting and helping businesses in the City grow and thrive. He and has lived in and has had businesses in Doral since 1984. He also owns a digital marketing company that provides services and educational programs to the South Florida community.
"I'm running for Mayor of Doral because we need a fresh start for Doral with new leadership that brings a sense of urgency to the needs of the residents and businesses in the City," said Manny. "The Covid-19 crisis is causing financial, emotional and physical injury to our residents and businesses. We need a Mayor that will do "whatever it takes" to bring needed relief in an expedient manner. We can't afford to wait until the county, state or federal government does something to fix our woes. We have to find a way, a faster way, to recovery and prosperity for our residents and businesses. I will unite our community, our council, our police and our residents and blaze a path."

Manny was born in in 1961 in Havana, Cuba. His parents migrated to the United States in 1968 to create a better life for their children. Through hard work, love and perseverance they nurtured their 4 children and instilled in them a culture of responsibility, education and empathy.
