Find Your ID NYC Presents: One More Day Until the #BlackoutFundraiser

NEW YORK - Aug. 15, 2020 -With a day to go, the mass-coordinated Instagram Live fundraiser event by Find Your ID NYC (https://fyidnyc.com/)'s #BlackoutFundraiser will premiere Sunday, August 16. #TheBlackoutFundraiser has partnered with 30+ top U.S. Black non-profit organizers, to help raise $100,000 to supplement Black-led social and political organizations that address racial injustices. FYID NYC and its collaborators are working towards the development of community enriching investments to provide opportunities to African communities across the country and the globe. This collaboration will collect funding for the protection of Black people and their culture. Each donation given throughout the event will go to organizations such as the Innocence Project and Foundation Freedom.

The global creative agency, Find Your ID NYC, seeks to establish a cross-generational live event that emphasizes the importance and necessity of Black Culture. Throughout the pandemic, collaborators have tasked themselves with combatting the obstacles that seek to prevent the growth of POC companies. Through an eight-hour virtual festival, the #BlackoutFundraiser distinguishes itself by amplifying the movements of these communities. Participating organizations will feature events such as art exploration, live concerts, educational seminars, and more!

Find Your ID NYC Founder + CEO Imani Jones shares: "We must teach Black Culture. And we must show each generation the history that Black Culture spans throughout time. Our lives depend on it."
