BROKEN ARROW, Okla. - Aug. 11, 2020 - Broken Arrow, Oklahoma – Legacy Christian Academy (hereinafter referred to as "LCA") is excited to begin the 2020-2021 school year. Thursday, August 13, 2020 marks the first day of Back to School Safely with In Person Learning for students entering kindergarten through sixth grade, and Pre-K students begin on Monday, August 24, 2020.
LCA created a Covid-19 Task Force made up of teachers, parents and LCA Board members to discuss and implement plans on how to reopen safely. LCA took into account the school buildings physical design (e.g., ventilation systems, capacity for social distancing, access to supplies needed to prevent the spread of disease), the educational and health needs of students and staff, and the capacity of schools to meet those needs. LCA allocated funds to upgrade the facilities with better ventilation, air purification cleaners, touchless soap and paper towel dispensers and barriers in classrooms, as well as purchasing of extra tables for the lunchroom. LCA is following both the Tulsa Health Department and the CDC daily to ensure that every possible procedure is being taken to maintain a healthy and clean environment for all students, teachers, and staff.
Also, LCA https://www.legacyba.org/ is partnering with Noitavnne https://www.noitavonne.com/index.html, who is a world-wide innovator in high-end technology and appliances. Noitavonne is responsible for hardware and software customization, prototyping, and refining product design. Noitavonne has created a prototype sanitization/disinfecting machine that uses chemicals to sanitize and disinfect large areas. The machine releases a fine mist of powerful, disinfecting contents that disperse throughout the room, eliminating germs, bacteria, and other harmful microorganisms. Cleaning and disinfecting medium to large areas with accuracy and a high degree of killing unseen pathogens in hidden areas is challenging. Noitavonne is allowing LCA to utilize this machine to disinfect the school every day.
Finally, LCA has installed Noitavonne NU Airs 24/7 air sterilization systems. NU Airs 24/7 systems uses a safe UV system to eliminate bacteria and viruses on contact via air flow thru the units. Further, the NU Airs 24/7 is powered by a unique 5 stage safe, UV, Ozone and oxygen enrichment system and has been installed in all classrooms and common areas throughout LCA. LCA and Noitavonne are excited about partnering together to enable children to go Back to School Safely with In Person Learning on Thursday, August 13th.
