Hillside Terrace Raising Funds for The Walk to End Alzheimer's!

ANN ARBOR, Mich. - Aug. 7, 2020 - Hillside Terrace Senior Living is taking part in the Walk to End Alzheimer's on Sunday, October 11th to help fund Alzheimer's research. The walk is a little different this year.

"We won't have a large in-person gathering – instead, we invite you to walk in small teams of friends and family while others in your community do the same. Because we are all still walking and fundraising for the same thing: a world without Alzheimer's and all other dementia," according to the Alzheimer's Association.

"Even though this year the "Walk is everywhere", we'll continue on in our 'walk and fight' to end Alzheimer's regardless of this year being a pandemic. Our senior communities at Hillside and Plymouth Senior Livings will all be walking in honor of and support of our residents and families," says Nanya Litz, Chief Operating officer at Hillside Terrace.

They are seeking help to raise $1,000 before the October 11th deadline to further the care, support and research efforts of the Alzheimer's Association. The Walk to End Alzheimer's is held annually in more than 600 communities nationwide, becoming the largest event to raise awareness and funds for Alzheimer's care, support and research.

"Hillside Terrace has been involved with The Walk since 2007. We walk for our Papa, Melvin Gill and our residents affected by Alzheimer's and their family members because one day we will have a world without Alzheimer's," says Trey Litz, Director of Community Relations for Hillside Terrace.
