August 06, 2020 - Human Growth Foundation announces that its 5th Annual Say NO Bullying Virtual Festival will feature 12-year-old super singer, Angelica Hale, the runner-up of season 12 of "America's Got Talent". The virtual event will stream live on Sunday, October 4, 2020, from 3 pm – 7 pm EST on Facebook Live and SayNOBullying.org.
In 2017, Hale competed on the twelfth season of America's Got Talent, where she made it past the auditions round with her rendition of "Rise Up" by Andra Day. In the Judge Cuts round, Hale covered Alicia Keys' "Girl on Fire," was given a golden buzzer by guest judge Chris Hardwick, and advanced immediately. For the finale in episode 22, she performed "Stronger (What Doesn't Kill You)" by Kelly Clarkson with Clarkson and fellow contestant Kechi Okwuchi. She finished the competition in second place, becoming the youngest runner-up in the show's history.
"We are thrilled to have Angelica Hale join our lineup of phenomenal and compassionate performers," says Dr. Joel Steelman, president of the Human Growth Foundation.
The Say NO Bullying Virtual Festival is designed to educate, advocate, and empower the worldwide community. The charitable event will feature internationally renowned empowerment speakers, exciting entertainment, much-need resources, and surprise celebrity appearances.
