LEES SUMMIT, Mo. - July 22, 2020 - Stange Law Firm, PC has announced that attorney Nicolas Kennedy has joined the Lee's Summit Divorce Lawyers as a Junior Associate Attorney in the firm's Jackson County, Missouri office location.
Kennedy has a diverse educational background that aids him in providing compassionate legal care to his clients. He earned his Bachelor of Arts in Social Sciences from Washington State University, where he was placed on the President's Honor Roll for his academic achievements. He then completed his Master of Arts in Criminal Justice at Arizona State University, where he focused his research on the impact of poverty on crime. While earning his Master's degree, Kennedy was also completing his Juris Doctor from the University of Missouri – Kansas City, where he was placed on the Dean's Professional Recognition list and was a Pro Bono Honors graduate.
Prior to joining the Jackson County Family Lawyers, Kennedy gained experience working with the Federal Public Defender for the District of Kansas, where he assisted with initial contact and appearance, depositions, and in-custody visits. While there, he gained experience with drafting motions to suppress, motions to dismiss, and requests for discovery. More recently he has worked with the Missouri State Public Defender, where he was Rule 13 certified and conducted intensive research and writing assignments including briefs, motions, responses, and other legal memos. Kennedy is licensed and able to assist clients facing difficult family law matters in the state of Missouri.
