BAY AREA, Calif. - July 21, 2020 - Former professional competition shooter and current book author Vera Koo recently launched a new website that highlights her success in the world of pistol shooting, and introduces the world to her memoir, "The Most Unlikely Champion."
Koo spent 26 years in the world of competitive shooting, claiming the prestigious Bianchi title in the women's division eight times, along with other illustrious titles. After retiring in 2018, Koo put her thoughts to paper, in a memoir that details her life – from immigrant at age 12, to building a business with her husband in the San Francisco area while also raising a family, to becoming one of the world's top female shooters. The journey was not smooth; in fact, Koo experienced tragedies and betrayals that most people fear. Her story of how she picked herself up and overcame these obstacles is the life lesson at the heart of her memoir. Now, working on her next book, based on a collection of columns featured at "Women's Outdoor News," Koo looks to bring her energy, elegance and enthusiasm to the public stage.
Koo's first book recently was translated and published in China.
Along with her columns from "Women's Outdoor News," the new website features information about her book, plus videos, book reviews and more. Koo also contributes to a robust social media platform, including Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, YouTube and Pinterest. Watch for future videos surrounding Koo's books, travel and upcoming trip to the Shanghai Book Fair.
The website team includes design from DISA LLC, along with web development and management from Tier 1 Creative. She anticipates working with this team to produce a Chinese version of her website, promote her memoir in China and further her exposure outside of the United States.
"Both DISA LLC and Tier 1 Creative have created a fantastic website for my new branding and image. Their joined effort has delivered a website beyond my high expectation of their work. I am a one big, happy customer," said Koo.
Koo is available to speak to groups and for interviews. Contact her through her website.
