Thiel College Office of Admission opens the application period for the 2021-22 academic year

GREENVILLE, Pa. - July 6, 2020 - First-year students can begin applying for the Fall 2021 academic year at Thiel College.

The Office of Admission has opened the application period a month earlier this year to help students navigate what might become a complex year ahead.

"Students and families face enormous challenges stemming from the uncertainty created by the coronavirus pandemic," Vice President for Enrollment Management Ashley Josay Zullo said. "This adjustment in our admissions process helps families create valuable peace of mind by getting a decision early. Additionally, an early application and acceptance creates more time for students and families to research and prepare for that first day of classes in 2021."

Virtual visits are available so that prospective students and their family members can still meet with campus community members who are an important part of the college decision-making process. Thiel's (https://www.thiel.edu/admissions) admission counselors can conduct a virtual meeting and counselors can potentially add faculty members, coaches, department chairs, current Thiel College students or administrative team members to the virtual visit. Virtual visit sessions are available from 9 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. weekdays. The campus is also open for in-person visits, but only two slots are available each day (10 a.m. and 2 p.m.). Anyone interested can reserve a spot on the Office of Admission webpage.

Prospective students can also take a video tour of campus by going to the Thiel College's homepage. The tour is also on youtube.com.

The Office of Admission will continue the test-optional admission policy it used during the Fall 2020 application period, which is still open. Students are not required to submit SAT or ACT scores. The test-optional policy continues the College's already existing holistic review of a student's application materials.
