STAINES, U.K. - June 22, 2020 - Automatic Multi-Tyre mode for rapid measurement during pitstops
• Thermocouple interface for temperature measurement
• Sync data to iPhone, Android or computer
• Offset mode for secret readings
• Rugged design
• Accuracy +/-0.1 psi
• Max pressure 100 psi
Jim Irlam, RaceSense's developer said "I was really surprised by the poor accuracy of common tyre gauges and how little functionality is provided. So I set out to design a precision fully featured gauge and in the process also made it tough.
During development we refined the prototypes with input from technicians, mechanics, drivers and race teams."
The gauge has some special features which really help in the pits. There is an automatic multi-tyre mode which allows all tyres to be checked without pressing any buttons. Tyre temperatures can also be sampled using a standard Type K thermocouple probe. Syncing the data to smartphone adds location and weather conditions too. Apps are available free for iOS and Android and data can be emailed and exported to spreadsheets etc. There is no need to remember data or write on bits of paper. An offset mode shows difference in pressure from desired values so that real pressures are not revealed.
RaceSense is available for a launch price of £250 or £280 with a temperature probe from https://www.fastmateracing.com/
