SUSSEX, Wis. - June 17, 2020 - Carrie Stangel has joined Sussex IM, the Wisconsin-based leader in custom injection molding, as Quality Manager, the company's CEO, Keith Everson, announced today.
According to Everson, Stangel's decades of professional experience with plastic injection molding, specifically medical components and assemblies, will be an asset as the company expands its efforts in the medical and pharma marketplace.
Stangel, a Six Sigma Black Belt, was most recently a Quality Assurance Manager at MGS Manufacturing Group. At MGS she maintained ISO 9001, 13485, and IATF 16949 certifications, and oversaw cleanroom compliance, as well as compliance with FDA standards for registered medical devices. She was responsible for the company's overall quality management system.
Previously, Stangel held quality assurance management positions for plastic injection molding companies such as Gateway Plastics Inc. and Tulip Molded Plastics Corporation. Her professional experience also included senior quality-management positions at Trek Bicycle Corporation, Kohler Company, and Johnson Controls Inc.
Stangel holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Materials Engineering from the University of Wisconsin.

According to Everson, Sussex IM is converting one of its five plants to an ISO 8 clean room to satisfy existing medical/pharma customers and offer growth opportunities. In addition, the company is expanding its "AMF", or Advanced Manufacturing Facility, which will be designed to include ISO 8 clean rooms and specialty manufacturing cells.
