PALM BEACH GARDENS, Fla. - June 16, 2020 - FDR Training, the nation's leading dispute resolution training event attracting decision-makers from nearly every federal agency, has moved to be a fully immersive virtual event. The virtual event, kicking off August 10, 2020, will feature a robust program of simulives (virtual live sessions) and on-demand sessions covering a variety of topics including EEO, HR, Labor Relations, Employee Relations, Alternative Dispute Resolution, Legal Issues, and much more.
FDR Training's virtual event will give attendees the opportunity to hear from the nation's top federal experts as they discuss the latest changes in laws, regulations and administration priorities. Professionals will be able to access over 40 sessions, at their convenience, directly from the safety of their home or workplace. The simulives will be held at specific times so attendees can interact with agency leaders through live Q&As. John Register, Paralympic Silver Medalist, will kick-off the virtual event on Monday, August 10 with Hurdling Adversity and Creating a New Normal. Other simulives will be available August 10 - 13 including Legal Ethics Training and annual favorites, Agency Conversations, with leaders from the OSC, OPM, FLRA and FMCS.
"Although we are not able to come together during this time, we are excited to be moving forward as a virtual event," said Leslie Lake, Vice President, Federal Editorial, LRP Media Group. "The new virtual platform will continue to give attendees the training they need at their own pace while giving them opportunities to still learn and hear from agency leaders."
FDR Training will also feature newly added COVID-19 related sessions to ensure that attendees receive the most up-to-date content:
• COVID-19: Leave and Attendance Issues: Leave expert Barbara Haga will guide attendees through the tough spots as agencies continue to confront pandemic-related issues and also help professionals understand and apply OPM and OMB pandemic guidance and DOL regulations on emergency paid sick leave.
• COVID-19 and Reasonable Accommodation: Adjusting to a New Reality: Attorneys Gary Gilbert and Deryn Sumner will discuss why virus-related accommodations for individuals with disabilities may need to continue, when alternative accommodations could be appropriate, and how best to approach reasonable accommodation discussions.
