HAMPTON, Va. - June 5, 2020 - The June 2020 Young Achievers Excellence Virtual Program welcomes Entrepreneur, Best-Selling Author and Domestic Violence Survivor Onicka Daniel as its first Guest Speaker.
Onicka is a graduate of Hampton University and Strayer University. She is part owner of Gifted Enterprises LLC, a leading provider of family support to the Hampton Roads area of Virginia. With the support of the City of Hampton Violence Prevention Mini-Grant Program, the 4-week non-profit Young Achievers Excellence Virtual Program teaches City of Hampton middle school students how to take their dreams, passions as well as frustrations and turn them into platforms of advocacy, expression and entrepreneurship.
During this program, students will make presentations; interview youth and adult entrepreneurs as well as pitch their business ideas. Graduates will be given a business plan roadmap workbook as well as a 30-second video to promote their business or strengths. There will also be a bonus 4-week class to teach them free and inexpensive tools they can use to brand their business and engage their audience.
