LOS ANGELES - April 24, 2020 - Chelsey Wang Baby has expanded its 6-piece baby collection with their new cradle cap brush and comb. The duo is made from soft, non-toxic silicone and gently removes unwanted skin from the top of the head. Cradle cap is known as the infant version of seborrheic dermatitis which causes dandruff in adults.

Cradle cap can appear as a scaly rash on the scalp and is believed to be caused by hormones from the mother. These hormones cross the placenta in utero. The hormones, in turn, cause the oil glands in the skin to become overactive causing more oil than normal to be released. This extra oil causes the dead skin cells to "adhere" to the skin.
"With cradle cap affecting around 70% of our babies I wanted to make a brush and comb that goes hand in hand with other products from the CW collection, making it easy for parents to have all the tools they need in one spot," said Wang. Take the silicone brush and gently massage the scalp for one to two minutes. Use the comb and gently rub away any loose skin.
