VANCOUVER, British Columbia - April 2, 2020 - In 2014, Mark Rosner came up with an idea that has now become a TV show! As a music manager, he was seeing a change in the music business. The digital age had come and was offering some challenges to artists and industry people. How does an artist become relevant to the public, with so much music flooding the internet and no one able to stand out in marketing anymore. His idea centered around loading his artists onto a 56 passenger bus and travelling across the country of Canada, coast to coast, doing concerts together as one entity. There were 50 people who had never met, ranging from 19 – 60, of all different genres, living together and playing music in the shows. It was a bold move and somewhat of a social experiment. During the tour, many had developed life-long friendships and learned a lot from each other about performing, promoting and handling the road. After the experience, Mark realized that there were so many stories created while out on the road with people you just met, it would make an amazing TV show!. Over the next 3 years Mark began to plan what it would look like and how to build the idea into the larger entity that could reach the world. It started smaller due to budget constraints, but has since grown into tours and filming that reach Canada, USA, Brazil, UK, Mexico and Cambodia. The scenery, the personalities, challenges and cultures, make this a TV show with everything. On the bus there are artists, managers, publicists, record execs, marketing guru's and more, all characters in this reality TV show.
AUTISM AWARENESS AND FUNDING CAMPAIGN:
A very important aspect of the tours and filming is the recent partnership for Autism awareness and funding for Autism Canada! Riseup TV believes very strongly in giving back in a positive way, to the world and the different struggles that people are having in dealing with life day to day. After all "rising up" is what we are all about, no matter what you are struggling to overcome. Families with loved ones on the spectrum have unique struggles and challenges. What we want to do is help raise money for Autism worldwide and at the same time, support musicians and the music community which have been devastated by COVID-19. With such a devastating affect to a musician's livelihood, we are doing something amazing to raise funds over the internet. It is really quite different and so important "now more than ever". https://orbiiit.com/contest/7
The general public can view the artists video submissions and vote for the one(s) they like. The first vote is free and more votes are $1 each. All of the artists will receive funding and Autism Canada will benefit as well. The artists with the most votes after 2 weeks of voting will not only receive the funding along with Autism Canada, but they can also win prizes of promotion, radio releases, cash and much more. COVID-19 is creating a lot of anxiety right now…..let's bring some good will to the table and support this campaign at this difficult time for many!
