April 02, 2020 - Bailey Court, Brendale, New Zealand - Extreme Marquees, New Zealand’s premier gazebos and marquees suppliers have designed the EM-C19 inflatable medical isolation modules. To handle the care of quarantined individuals and medical staff better, these tents are lightweight, practical, compact, sealed, and can be set up within minutes – unlike ordinary gazebos that are well-suited to provide protection against natural elements such as wind, water, and sunlight but cannot provide effective isolation against coronavirus.
Features of the EM-C19 emergency shelter, NZ
The isolation chambers of the EM-C19 are NZ manufactured, purpose built, and sealed to prevent the infection from getting transmitted. The ergonomic design features a dual inflatable module having two independent compartments linked through a tunnel with internal doors separating them. The walls and floors are joined to create a sealed chamber and the medical tent comes with two outlets that provide uninterrupted air supply.
The compartment for the medical staff is essentially a decontamination zone where protective clothing can be removed for disinfecting or sanitisation. These tents are available in several sizes, beginning from 3x3 metres and going all the way up to 10x10 metres. Weighing just 40 pounds, the EM-C19 lightweight emergency shelter range packs down to a compact 45x45x60cm, so that they can be stored away conveniently with other medical paraphernalia.
With this first prototype, Extreme Marquees looks forward to active and ongoing collaboration with the New Zealand government, university research departments, and relevant private sector organisations. Interested stakeholders may get in touch using the below information.
