April 01, 2020 - Several thousand older adults in the DC Metropolitan area and Baltimore are depending on caregivers, either paid home health aides or unpaid family members, for their day-to-day existence. Kyndall Francis and Syndicate Partners believe both family caregivers and those they care for need to rapidly adapt if they are to remain safe during the coronavirus epidemic.
With the best strategy for older adults being to shelter in place; the same approach that is being used for many around the country – the fact remains that many must access outside resources for things such as medicine, food and other essential products.
The platform which launches at midnight on April 1, 2020 will allow individuals or caregivers to access a toll free number who may not be internet savvy. They can also go-online to the company website, register and send a request which will be tracked and updated with the progress of their request. Phone communication will be maintained throughout.
Kyndall Francis says “there are many quality companies offering specific services during this challenging time; we wanted to create a one stop shop where an individual can call for all their needs. Many attempt to take advantage of the older community; by dealing with the same group they can move forward with an entity that they know, trust and become familiar with during this process.
