DAYTONA BEACH, Fla. - March 30, 2020 - Hollan Pugh, LMHC, and owner of Front Porch Counseling in Daytona Beach, is pleased to announce that she is now offering HIPPA compliant telehealth mental health services. Telehealth is the distribution of health-related services and information via electronic information and telecommunication technologies.
"The rise of telehealth in the last few years is one of many factors re-shaping the healthcare landscape," said Hollan. "There is no better time for patients and health care providers to embrace telehealth for mental health purposes than now," she added. Mental health experts agree that this is a stressful time for everyone, not to mention people with anxiety and that require mental health and substance abuse help.
Front Porch Counseling's substance abuse program includes four levels of care, three of which are offered via telehealth; intensive outpatient, outpatient and after care (such as group and individual counseling sessions).
Front Porch Counseling is also pleased to announce that they have partnered with interventionist Chris Cannon, LMHC. "His experience in providing intervention can be key in helping families get their loved ones into treatment, when they are resistant," added Hollan. The disease of substance use disorder does not stop under quarantine. Substance-abuse will continue for those who suffer with it and families will be face to face with the addiction.
Hollan was previously a clinical director of Serenity Springs in Edgewater, FL, and The Augustine in Saint Augustine, FL. She has 10 years of experience helping people with addictions, and 15 years of helping people through trauma. Hollan is certified in EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitization and reprocessing), CBT (cognitive-behavioural therapy), DBT (dialectical behavior therapy), Energy Psychology, Kundalini Yoga, is a Reiki Master, Phych-K facilitator, Life Coach, Infinite Possibilities Trainer, and public speaker.
