KNOXVILLE, Tenn. - March 20, 2020 -Remington College Online Campus is now offering students two new ways to pursue higher education from anywhere—with a degree in Digital Graphic Art or a diploma in Heating, Ventilation, and Air Conditioning (HVAC).
Both online programs are currently enrolling students, and classes start soon.
The Digital Graphic Art Degree Program aims to prepare students for entry-level positions in graphic design.1 The program covers the basic principles and theories of graphic design. Topics include typography, page-layout software, web design, digital image editing, advertising and marketing principles and more.
No graphic design experience is necessary. The program is completed online and can be completed in as little as 18 months.2 Upon completion, students receive an associate degree in Digital Graphic Art.
According to the Bureau of Labor Statistics, employment of graphic designers is expected to grow 3 percent from 2018 to 2028.3
The HVAC Diploma Program aims to prepare students for an entry-level position as an HVAC technician.1 The curriculum covers commercial HVAC systems, residential systems, commercial refrigeration systems, domestic appliances and cold water AC, fundamental HVAC maintenance and more.
The program is a hybrid, with students taking many classes online but also meeting with classmates and instructors in person in Knoxville for a practical lab for one week. The program can be completed in as little as 12 months.2 Upon completion, students receive a diploma in HVAC.
According to the Bureau of Labor Statistics, the need for HVAC and refrigeration mechanics and installers is expected to grow by 13 percent during the 10-year period from 2018 to 2028, much faster than the 5 percent average for all occupations.3
