TROY, N.Y. - March 10, 2020 - Prioritizing the health and safety of students and with continued monitoring of the spread of the novel coronavirus (COVID-19), the administration of Emma Willard School will extend its Spring Break recess with the goal of mitigating possible impact of COVID-19 on its campus. There are no cases of COVID-19 among employees or students. Spring Break will begin on March 11, and classes will resume on April 6, one week later than originally planned.
In light of the fluid nature of the outbreak, the faculty and staff of Emma Willard School are also making plans to continue teaching virtually should circumstances dictate after the school recess. Whether online or in the classroom, teaching will resume on April 6.
In addition to the extension of spring recess, Emma Willard School has suspended the use of its facilities for outside events and activities. This includes SAT testing that was scheduled for Saturday, March 14.
